Calculate the Floor area of your room in m2.
If your room has modern well-insulated structure with double glazed windows use the lower room size area values to select your heater size.
If your room was built before 1976, has a traditional contstruction and single glazed windows, use the upper room size area to select your heater size.

Example
A 6m2 room of modern construction may require a 500 Watt heater while the same room but of traditional construction will need 1000 Watt heater. The figures given are intended as a guide only and have been based on a typical room with one outside wall and average sized windows. |
